About Us

Tippmann Arms, established in 1983 by Dennis Tippmann Sr. in Fort Wayne, IN, initially manufactured sought-after collectible half-scale .22LR and .22 Mag. caliber belt-fed replicas of Browning machine guns. Due to changes in gun laws in 1986, the family-owned company shifted its focus and founded Tippmann Pneumatics, entering the paintball industry. Tippmann Pneumatics quickly became the world's largest and best-known paintball gun manufacturer, growing from eight employees in 1986 to over 120 in 2004.
In 2004, the Tippmann family sold 80% of the company to a private equity firm, leading to the birth of Tippmann Sports. Under the guidance of Dennis Tippmann Jr., the company designed and sold over 40 different Tippmann paintball guns with 20 patents granted. In 2014, the remaining 20% of the business was sold, and Dennis Tippmann Jr. began developing products for the firearms industry. The Tippmann Arms brand was revived in 2016.
Since then, Tippmann Arms has been producing the M4-22, a .22LR caliber semi-automatic rifle, along with several other rifle and pistol versions based on the popular AR platform. The company invested in new technology, adding 4-axis CNC machines and state-of-the-art gun drilling and rifling equipment for increased quality and efficiency.
Tippmann Arms takes pride in its 86,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility in Fort Wayne, IN, where all critical components, including upper and lower receivers, barrels, and bolts (BCG), are machined in-house. The company continues to introduce unique products to the firearms market, such as the M4-22 Bug-Out Models and the revolutionary Speed Loader.
